Many people have hurt, hated and felt harassed because their trips were cancelled. They had planned, proposed and prepared to travel to places of interest to them and the thought of getting there to fulfill their dreams and achieve their desire made their hearts pop with joy. But the unimaginable and unforeseen arose. They were made to cancel their trips. Some till further notice or indeterminable day in the future and some may never have opportunity again to deserve or embark on such trip.

When a natural disaster happens (for instance), a certain location and its people are affected and trips to such locations by distant fellows are cancelled but covid-19 (too insignificant to be Capitalized) came to rid the world of a safe location. Everywhere and everybody were susceptible to attack. Stay-at-home (alias lockdown), quarantine, isolation became the approved formulae for keeping every other person from contact with the already infected.

The safe place was not accessible to anyone and is still inaccessible until one is qualified and found eligible by its embassy – which key policy is the assessment of works and one is a candidate for a trip to that pleasant and desirable place when his time on earth is over – or he has completed his course on earth.

With the covid-19 epidemic, multitudes where forced to quit the earth unaccomplished. The virus hits them, they hurt and hasten away on a trip to an eternity in a place they could not plan to miss. Some would have been preoccupied with matters that did not matter like preparing adequately for eternity in Heaven. They had thought they would last so long on earth to use their final days to mend their ways, repent, and be eligible for Heaven. But what man would ascribe to himself such power who has no power to deliver himself from the attack of an ordinary virus – even to dream of a cure for covid-19 to relief the weary, worn and worrying world for even a weak.

Eternal regret in hell is the lot of the multitude of the stars, subjects, folks and fellows slain by coronavirus. They are wishing they had ceased just a moment of the time they had on earth to heed their Creator’s call into a Son and father relationship. They are wishing they had heed the call to follow Jesus Christ as the Saviour and forsaken the snakes, tress, objects and beings they bowed to and worshipped as gods – who could not save their wretched souls from the damnable hell they are doomed to burn in for an endless time. Their lots by now is irreversible and the living must not suffer their kind of fate. They must save themselves from their ill fate now. The time to perfect the preparation for a trip to Heaven where no plague, pandemic, pain, poverty, panic, prostration or problems have no place: where the peace, pleasure, praise is the pattern of all who work with the Word of God as servants of Jesus Christ through this horrible world. So, mark these details of the trip that cannot be cancelled - the Trip to Heaven:

1.       DESTINATION: Let your utmost and principal trip have Heaven as its destination. Work yourself up for it every moment by ‘pummeling and leading yourself as a slave’ (1 Cor 9:27) that you would not be found wanting when your moment to depart arrives – which many do not know.

2.       DESIRE/ DECISION: Let it become your desire and decision that Heaven will be your home at last – not hell. Decide never to follow anybody to hell by falling into their temptation traps or doing wrong with them for even a moment’s pleasure or the riches that cannot buy you entry into Heaven.

3.       DIRECTION: Know that the Word of God is the direction to Heaven. If you do what God permits and flee what He forbids which are elicited in the commandments (which there is grace in the name of Jesus Christ to uphold), what the Holy Spirit teaches the heir of Salvation, you are in the right path.

4.       DISTANCE: Heaven is a blink of the eyes from the earth. As soon as one closes his eyes in death, the prepared means of transport conveys him to where he belongs. The driver does not take bribe, care about academic qualifications, political portfolio, bank account or investment structures of his passenger. They do not accept option to come back or make a choice if his passenger was hell-bound. So, in as much as it does not take time to arrive at Heaven, live as if your present step, action, thought, word or work is your last and remain ever watchful to repent of a slide, slip or fall that would disqualify you for Heaven. Plead the Blood of Jesus Christ over yourself regularly to remain alert. Watchful and wise.

5.       DEPARTURE TIME: In all matters of the trip to eternity, NOW is the time in today that you must consider as your departure TIME. The Scripture that will witness against everyone who misses Heaven before God is Heb 3:15 ‘If you hear God’s voice today, do not be stubborn, as your ancestors were when they rebelled against God’’ (GNT).’ The New Century Version says ‘today, listen to what He says. Do not be stubborn as in the past when you turned against God.’

6.       DEMANDS FOR THE TRIP: In case you are just beginning to prepare for your trip to Heaven, do not hesitate to heed the directive of the embassy in Rom 10:10 ‘for with the heart one believes and is justified and with the mouth one confesses and is saved’. Therefore, pray thus:

  My Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for giving me this privilege to confess that you are my Saviour. Thank you for shedding your blood on the Cross of Calvary to make it possible for me to have the privileges of Sons to return to you. Please, cleanse me and make me worthy of eternity in Heaven with you as your own. Please forgive me for every thoughtless work I had done or sin I had committed due to my ignorance. Receive me into your sheepfold and give me the grace to be qualified for the trip to Heaven at all times. I shall never stray anymore into enticing works of the flesh and worldly sentiments that please the devil. Am now yours and yours forever and the devil has lost the battle over my destiny.

Dear Lord, I long to create impact in this world as your Son, fulfill my days on earth and spend eternity with you in Heaven after wards. So, help me God. In Jesus name I have prayed. Amen.

 7.       DIVIDEND OF THE TRIP: It is only ignorance that keeps anybody from hurriedly joining the sheepfold of Jesus Christ to enjoy the bountiful benefits that Has has graciously allocated for His co-heirs – the heirs of the Almighty God who owns Heaven and Earth and everything in it. The Apostle of Jesus Christ speaking the mind of Christ to His church says ‘I wish above all that thou may prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers ’ (3Jn 2) the situation of the world notwithstanding. The noise in the earth by the works of the devil warranted that the dividends of following Jesus Christ be sang in a mighty chorus by an bountiful company of angels, living beings and elders around the throne of God, ‘worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered to receive Power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory and blessing’ and all that Jesus Christ has He has bestowed on His Church.

 8.       DETERMINATION: Times and events on earth may not make the decision for Heaven seem like Wisdom. The wise must know that the Word of God remains true that ‘what a man sows is what he shall reap’. So, you must determine not to miss Heaven even if your life on earth ends Now or today. Sow works that are wise as inspired by the Holy Spirit for your own good and for the good of your neighbor and peoples in general. Make the other person worthy of Heaven by your good works so that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary for the whole people of the world would not be in vain.

9.       DECREE: ‘I am here on earth for just a while but I shall fulfill my days. I must use the power that God bestowed on me to control myself and order my steps in the Word of God. As the head here on earth, I have overcome the world and I shall remain victorious and more than conquerors in all my strides in the path of truth. No weapon that is fashioned against me shall prosper and every tongue that rises against me in judgment as an heir of God, I condemn. I am entitled to my dividends of following Jesus Christ as my Saviour and I shall enjoy all of them here on earth as I walk prepared for eternity in Heaven and the devil can do nothing about it’. I have decreed and it stands because am an heir of Salvation in authority by Christ Jesus.

10.   DESSERT: When a trip is cancelled, a tree is cut. A trip constitutes a ‘desire’ and a desire fulfilled is a tree of life (Prov 13:12). The benefit of a tree of life is LIFE and Life is the most precious of all possessions. Without it, Power, riches, wisdom, strength etc are inconsequential. A tree of life to desire is in Heaven and it is shelter from all wants, worries, wars (with plagues, pandemonium and profane peoples), weeping, and works of darkness.

By now, you must be prepared to focus on your course on earth to qualify for Heaven when you are done. That means, you are looking forward to an eternity of shade, shelter, security, soundness, serenity from the scorching sun of this sorrowful earth – where only the Great Shepherd and Saviour is able to save and secure the Sons of God. As He had promised never to leave or forsake His sheep, do not let any fear of the future or unforeseen circumstances take your focus off the all-important trip. My PRAYER is that you will not miss, cause your tree to be cut and change your destination to hell.

Safe journey! Destination: Heaven!!

When you would have complied with the highlighted rules for the trip that must not be cancelled, you shall be justified for eternity in Heaven when you meet the Judge of the whole earth – Jesus Christ –the only begotten Son of God and He shall greet you: Welcome!.
