SYMBOLISMS OF JACOB’S MIRACULOUS MASSIVENESS [CONT’D]

5: FITNESS:  Jacob was too fit to fail. He was an epitome of energy by the peculiarity of his intake.  He spent time with his Word-wise mother and got good intake of the Word -  that acquainted him with the God of Abraham and Isaac, the Covenant that made his family unique to God and his prophecy and purpose.  Hence, he was not a weakling or one whom the contrary wind /world could weary.

His brother’s (Esau’s) state was the consequence/ product of his form.  He did not have access to or value for the Word (the essence of true fitness).  Hence, He wasted his time to pursue game for venison and he became a game for a destiny deal that transferred the first born birthright for the rightful owner – Jacob who had the Fitness to accomplish divine purpose with it.

In fitness, Jacob did not sloth or slack or go slow.  He moved at the instance of his inspired mother’s instruction and he could not falter or faint under pressure or protracted test.  When he had to flee for Haran, he was on his way as one wired rugged- not a candidate of spiritual, moral, emotional or physical ailment or weakness who would have constituted a concern for his mother.

For his Fitness, he travelled the unfamiliar course from Canaan to Haran and could confront the custom of the Shepherds in Haran to demonstrate his Fitness to the admiration of Rachael. While he served Laban, Fitness kept him at work day and night (Gen 31:40) for years and he was not at any time in distress or wanting in health by the divine presence he was made for.

6: FUNCTION: Miraculous Massiveness implies that a person has attained his rightful post of duty, service or responsibility. It reflects that one has miraculously reached to occupy his God-ordained post for impacting the people of God. Jacob lived for a while as the son of Isaac and grandson / seed of Abraham but his real form and person unfolded when he was named Israel. As Israel, he began to function in the post that he was born to occupy – to serve God as was predetermined – to found a Holy Nation through which Jesus would come into the earth. Hence, as Israel, Jacob became the head of God’s people he was leading to Canaan (their promised inheritance) to possess. As he could manifest Power to contend with the angel and prevail, it was evident to God that he was due for the divine mandate of occupying Canaan as a Prince (and no longer a stranger). 12 Powerful tribes ordered by a Prince in the Covenant course was God’s Holy Nation in the making – where the Saviour would be born to accomplish the redemption of humanity.

6: FREEDOM: God meant to make the wretched man in the fall to become Massive miraculously. He used His ‘Godness’ to accomplish the unimaginable task that took satan unawares. It shocked satan that the man he thought it had in its clutches for life was set free and restored to the realm of authority. Satan had thought man was irredeemable in the doom he was tricked into but God unanimously rescued man and restored him to headship above his adversary satan – not for ‘till he can do otherwise’ but for eternity.

Jacob was in a strait in Haran- in the service of Laban. For 20 years, he was choked by the unruly and unscrupulous ways of Laban and even all that God miraculously prospered him with became his undoing. In the watch of Laban (in a strange land), he could not enjoy his God-given Riches. That is, as long as he remained subjects of the unbeliever, he remained a wretched captive –not eligible to enjoy the bountiful benefits (blessedness) of the Covenant. His transmogrification offended them and they realized his new status was that of a master and no longer a servant.

As Jacob stepped out/ off for his country (Canaan) as God commanded, his life became synonymous with Marvelous Massiveness. As he fled the strange land to return to his inheritance, he could make Full Expression of his unique personality as the heir.

So, it is a high time the heir of God (even the Church) sought Freedom in order to be equitable to his person/ status as defined in the redemption.

Enough of living in the strange land : under the authority of Unbelievers. The heir of God needs to be actually free and free indeed – as one in the divine heritage (of Covenant) and he is no longer to be subjected to harsh treatments as a slave.

CHEERS! You are the Image and Likeness of God and not a subject anymore.
